it’s sunday morning

Sunday, February 12th 2023 - Welcome to Issue 5 of our weekly email where we gather 3 style, wellness, travel or music links worth some time on a slow Sunday morning. Make a cup of coffee, find your favorite chair and cue the Velvet Underground…

“Sunday morning, rain is falling
Steal some covers, share some skin

Driving slow on Sunday morning
And I never want to leave”

TWO Desert X

The desert landscape isn’t formed by the absence of water but, rather, by the memory of water.

Desert X turns the mountains and deserts around Palm Springs into a larger than life art gallery. The event creates and presents large-scale, outdoor contemporary art installations by international artists throughout the Coachella Valley. It’s a great excuse to hit an early breakfast, get a cup a coffee, jump in the car and explore the area. Desert X 2023 runs from March 4th - May 7th and it’s worth the trip. (5 min read)

THREE That Joshua Tree Sound

We could all use a Joshua Tree vision quest.

It’s been 50 years since the famous Eagles debut album cover and 35 years since the release of U2’s Joshua Tree. As part of the U2 anniversary and their virtual concert series, Dermot Kennedy performed this hauntingly beautiful live set in Joshua Tree, California. (17 min video)
