ONE Give yourself permission to be an artist
Giving yourself permission to be an artist is a serious - but worthwhile - struggle. We experience various forms of “resistance” (as Steven Pressfield would say). What will people think? Am I good enough? Am I an imposter? Isn’t this a selfish use of time? This internal chatter rears its ugly head at every turn as we leap into the abyss. The good news? We can learn not to listen to it. In this 10 minute TED talk, Ethan Hawke makes the case for how all of us can benefit from courageous expression.

TWO The Smile
“They said I could talk but it’s too early so I’m not going to.” Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood with Tom Skinner on drums stopped by NPR for Tiny Desk earlier this month and it’s got a vibe. Thom’s shirt looks kinda familiar too. We should’ve done buttons. Next time.

THREE Bespoke Leather Jackets
Our earliest iterations of WRENVEDDER were focused on a leather jacket in the shape of a work shirt. We made some prototypes. One even made the trip to Sturgis for “product testing”. That was nearly 6 years ago. We may come back to leather down the road but in the meantime, SAVAS out of Nashville is the best of the best in the United States. Mostly bespoke with some ready-to-wear. All killer.
